Mumbai Meri Jaan

More than Two days of Hell and Taj still under siege. As someone who has worked in Mumbai and fell in love with this place and its spirit, I just cannot describe the hurt and pain the whole nation is suffering now.

Life has been totally blank and meaningless for the past two days. It would continue to do so for a long period. National Security has become a joke with news of bomb blasts and killings every other day. The laws are so weak that anybody can come, attack the parliament and still not yet get punished.

Now Mumbai. What are we going to do? Will there be any trust left on fellow human beings?

Where are our Disaster Recovery Plans? Why cant the cordon off the entire area and stop the media from broadcasting rubbish? All the news channels have their entire crew standing very near to the hotels and broadcasting live. Sensational journalism, my foot !

OMG, there are so many curious onlookers. I can understand the plight of the family members of the people trapped inside. But other than them, there are so many many people just wanting to get a glimpse of the entire drama. Come on people, let the NSG and Police do their job. They are trying to rescue some of our own brothers and sisters.

A royal SALUTE to all the NSG Commandos and the scores of Police officers who have lost lives/battling terrorists to ensure normalcy is returned. These are the real heroes.

Prayers, Prayers, Prayers. That is the only thing that we all can do at the moment for the Taj siege to come to an end.
